About Me

Parisian born, Anarkali is now London based.

Her recent work has a cross cultural narrative, based on extensive travel and familial connections to India, its architecture, colour and culture.

She brings poignancy to my composition through isolation and use of negative space.  The experiments with materiality and surface treatments bring vitality and risk to her work.

Works on paper are also an important part of her practice, with a firm grounding in observational drawing as well as a technical proficiency with pastels.

She trained at City and Guild School of Arts and Design in London.

She is also a partner and tutor at a painting and arts studio in West London, near Hammersmith.
