I love the unctuousness of oil paint and how it can be moved about on canvas.

My favourite brand (Sennelier) has a wide range of glorious colours that work well with the type of subject matters that I paint. My paintings are bright and rich in tones and I need intense colours to reflect the lushness that I want to evoke.

I will often mix colours using Indigo, Cobalt Blue, Cobalt Violet, Rowney Rose, Cadmium Yellow and Scarlet Lake so my palette knife and palette are indispensable to me!
